After a career in law enforcement with the Coral Gables Police Department, Edward Claughton founded PRI Management Group, in 2008. PRI is a police records management and IT consultancy that has provided training and advisory services to over 1500 public safety agencies.
Utilizing the valuable experience he garnered during his law enforcement career, Edward Claughton and his team of consultants provides records management, information governance and technology consulting and training services including records scheduling, crime statistics audits, and project management services for the implementation of new systems including RMS/CAD/MFR.
Edward Claughton’s clients range from small to large police agencies around the U.S. Edward Claughton has been featured in Police Magazine, Government Technology magazine and has presented for the IACP as law enforcement's public records expert. Also recognized as a Certified Law Enforcement Auditor by the International Law Enforcement Auditors Association and a Florida Certified Public Records Manager by the John Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government at Florida State University, Edward Claughton has earned a number of awards, receiving the LEO Investigative Services Award, Certificates of Commendation, Honorable Mention for Officer of the Year, and the Bronze Medal of Valor for his exemplary service.
A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Edward Claughton went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at Boston University. He also completed a number of professional development courses including the FBI-LEEDA Command Institute for Law Enforcement Executives and Franklin Covey Government Services. A member of the International Law Enforcement Auditors Association, and The 200 Club, Edward Claughton also served previously as the Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association Chapter President. A devoted father and husband, he is grateful everyday for his blessings.
